The first Chattanooga Comic Con has come to a close, and we on the staff have finally recovered from this amazing weekend.
First, we would like to thank each of the over 2,000 fans that came out to C3, whether to see amazing guests like Khary Payton, Jae Lee, and Lindsay Seidel, to shop with our awesome vendors, or to show off killer cosplays (of which there were tons). We do what we do because we are fans first, and hope it showed in every experience you had at C3.
Speaking of vendors, we were fortunate to have some of the best local and traveling vendors this year, from golden and silver age comics to an arsenal of replica anime weapons, freeze-dried candy to Squishmallows and bento boxes. Thank you vendors for coming to C3. We know shows are your livelihood, we were honored to host you at C3, and appreciate the trust you placed in us this weekend.
We are grateful to our sponsors, EPB, Dave & Buster’s of Chattanooga, Game On Chattanooga, Epikos Comics Cards and Games, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Chattanooga, Be Caffeinated Coffee, and Hi-Fi Clyde’s for the support and help in achieving our goal of creating a unique and interactive con for Chattanooga.
We would also like to thank Hoff and Pepper, Chattanooga Tourism, Chattanooga Pinball, Wanderlinger Brewing, GoodFella’s Pizzeria, and the AMC Majestic 12 theatre for their support as part of the C3 Neighborhood. A big shout out to our food truck partners Greg’s Sandwich Works, The Waffle Iron, Jef & Jen’s Chicken Teriyaki, The Freudian Sip, Los Tainos Kitchen, and Fully Involved Bistro for their support of the Siskin/C3 Food Truck Food Court across the street during the lunch rush.
We’d like to recognize and thank Anime Enthusiasts United for their advice and hours of work they put in to help us bring anime guests and present the charity auction. Thanks also to Heroes Inc. and The Mutineers for keeping the game hall running like a machine all weekend.
Thank you to our C3 photographers Patrick at Rekall Photography, Eli of Cubster Cosplay Photography, and Michael Hampton for documenting the con, and special thanks to the guys of Movement Radio for being our panel videographers.
We can’t go without thanking our Master of Ceremonies, Gary Poole. Your energetic announcements and reminders kept the vendor hall running. We appreciate your “chair chat” interviews and your quick wit on stage.
To the Chattanooga Convention Center, we are grateful for your support and hospitality in hosting our convention, and for supporting us throughout. Your staff provided us with immense support and professionalism/
In closing, we would like to thank the artists and guests who spent the weekend meeting fans, presenting panels, and showcasing their talents. Without your commitment to your craft, there would not be a convention.
To all of you who helped make C3’s first year great, thank you. We look forward to seeing
everyone again in 2023 at the next Chattanooga Comic Con.
