Jo Ann Dennard Moten
Jo Ann Dennard Moten, 83, passed away on December 25, 2022, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
She was a graduate of Howard High School and Tuskegee College. She worked for many years in the Chattanooga City School system. She was also a nurse for the Hamilton County nursing home. Jo Ann was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
She was a member of First Baptist Church East 8th Street in Chattanooga.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, John Dennard and Velma Collier, both of Chattanooga.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, husband, Oliver C. Moten, of Chattanooga; son, Oliver C. Moten, II of Indiana; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.
Jo Ann will lie in repose from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 423 622-9995, followed by an 11 a.m. graveside service at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
