Crawford, Richard Lawson (Rocky Face)

Richard Lawson Crawford, 75, of Rocky Face, passed away on May 16, 2022. Richard was born on June 30, 1946 to the late Carl and Katherine Crawford. He was a veteran of the United States Army, attaining the rank of Sgt. E-5. Richard had a bachelor of science degree from Berry College. He worked as a self-employed farmer for many years in both the dairy industry and the poultry industry. He was also a school bus driver for more than 20 years. He was a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. Richard was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 52 years, Joy Crawford; children, Michael Crawford, Elaine Guay (Chris) and James Crawford (Erin); grandchildren, Leland Guay, Ryker Guay, Levi Crawford, Owen Crawford and Cole Crawford; sister, Kathy Wilson (Mike); and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Richard’s family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 21 at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Rocky Face, Ga., with a Memorial Service to follow at 4 p.m.
