Baylor School Swimming & Diving Receives 2022 NISCA Silver Level Scholar Team Awards

Monday, June 13, 2022

the Baylor School Swimming & Diving teams were recognized by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association(NISCA) as 2021-2022 Scholar Teams.

The Baylor School girls had a 3.625 team GPA to earn NISCA Silver Level Academic status.  The girl’s team also got it done in the pool as they claimed the 2022 TISCA State Swimming & Diving Championship.

The Baylor School boys finished with a 3.550 team GPA earning NISCA Silver Level Academic Status.  The boys were equally impressive in the pool taking the 2022 TISCA State Swimming & Diving Championship.

“This group of young student-athletes accomplishments this past season exemplifies what I believe the Baylor Swimming program is all about said,” Head Coach Dan Flack.  “These young people worked diligently in both the classroom and in the pool, doing all the little things that lead to such exemplary accolades in the classroom and in competition.  Our entire coaching staff is very proud of both teams’ recognition from NISCA.

Hard work absolutely pays off.”

The NISCA/SwimOutlet.com Scholar Team Award recognizes teams achieving high academic standards. The award is based on the average cumulative GPA of an entire varsity team (single-gender) of 12 or more athletes. The three levels of recognition are:

Bronze Level 3.200 – 3.499
Silver Level 3.500 – 3.749
Gold Level 3.750 – 4.000

The goal of the NISCA/SwimOutlet.com Scholar Team Award is to recognize academic success in the classroom for entire swimming, diving, and water polo teams, as well as athletic success in the pool.

22 Questions And Concerns About A New $79.5 Million Lookouts Stadium

The proposal for the Lookouts stadium brings forth several questions that I have not gotten good answers yet from anyone. 1. If the 10 acres Gary Chazen is donating is worth $10,000,000, why doesn’t he and his partners just sell the 140 acres and go to the bank with over $100,000,000? 2. There has been over a billion dollars of new construction in downtown Chattanooga ... (click for more)

New Stadium Does Not Pass The Smell Test - And Response

I can't find any logical reasons that the new Lookout stadium is being placed where it is other than to think it's a combination of favoritism and eliminating an eyesore. All statistics point to an illogical decision coupled with questionable tax breaks/support. Lookouts average attendance in 2018 (all that I could quickly find) was 3,206 per game and ranked 74th among ... (click for more)
