The Chattanooga Football Club has outscored opponents 17-4 since May. CFC Men remain in first place and extended their unbeaten streak to six games after a week on the West Coast in which they secured a win and a draw against two clubs in much larger markets: a 3-0 win over Bay Cities FC from San Francisco and 1-1 draw on Wednesday night against Los Angeles Force.
Finley Stadium is preparing to host the CFC women on Friday and the CFC men on Saturday in back-to-back days.
The club is packing the Southside with games, beer, food, and family-friendly activities to do before and after the game, officials said.
Friday night is the last home match of the season for the Chattanooga FC women’s team. The rebirth of the team saw some of the largest crowds to ever watch women's soccer in Chattanooga. The club will face first-place Nashville Rhythm on Friday at 7 p.m.
Top-ranked CFC men will then host the Michigan Stars from Detroit on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Fans are invited to participate in the “Backyard Night” tailgate at First Horizon Pavilion before the game Saturday beginning at 5:30.
“We are at peak summer right now, and so we wanted to celebrate all the best parts of a backyard party here on the Southside. It’s really fun when we can come together with our Southside neighbors and give supporters a truly memorable experience.” said Jeremy Alumbaugh, CEO, Chattanooga FC.
