The Chattanooga Area Historical Association will meet Monday, June 13, at 6 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 554 McCallie Ave.
David Cooper will discuss the six churches in Chattanooga during the Civil War. Mr. Cooper is an elder at First Presbyterian Church and for many years was a writer with the Chattanooga Free Press (now the Chattanooga Times Free Press). This program is a repeat for those who missed the March meeting. Several people were disappointed in missing Mr. Cooper's presentation and he has kindly agreed to make his presentation again, said officials.
CAHA is now meeting in the chapel which is easy to access (no steps). Parking is easier and free. The Medical Arts Building and its parking lot are now part of the church. For those who are not familiar with the area, the sanctuary is on the corner of McCallie and Douglas; next to the church is a tall building and between it and the larger building which is now owned by UTC is a small driveway. If you cannot find it, call 595-4468 and organizers will will get you to the meeting.
All meetings are free of charge and open to the public.
