Henry Allen "Rev" Ward, age 60, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022.

He was born April 30, 1962, in Dalton. He grew up in Hopewell Baptist Church and later joined New Hope Baptist Church. He attended the Georgia Academy of the Blind in Macon, Ga. where he was a member of the wrestling team. He was a loving caregiver, enjoyed spending time with his family, and walking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Ward and Geneva Barrett Ward; brother, Charles Wayne Ward; and sister, Felicia Pritchett.

He is survived by his loving siblings, Elsie ( Minister Fred) Johnson, Patricia (Kenneth) Taylor, Timothy James Ward, Gregory Ward, David (Deloris) Ward, Audra Jones; aunt, Bessie (Lamar) Evans; special companion, Georgia Ann Famber; special friends, Theo (Linda) Baker and Tony Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Oct. 1, at 1 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home with sibling, Audra Jones, eulogist and Elder Kenneth Cooper, presider.

He will lie in state at Willis Funeral Home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery.
