Marie Stancel
Marie McMahan Stancel, 83, of Rising Fawn, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at her residence.
She was a devoted mother and loved her entire family so much. Marie was a member of Rising Fawn Church of God and was preceded in death by her husbands, Kelly Stancel & Bodi Bowen, parents, George & Pallie McMahan, brothers, Roy, Burr, Smokey, & Carl McMahan, sisters, Estella Simmons & Junella Fisher, and grandson, Lance Bowen.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Kay Houston, Rainsville, AL; sons, Bookie (Evelyn) Bowen, Trenton, GA, Randy (Vickie) Bowen, Higdon, AL, Eddie (Ginger) Bowen, Trenton, GA, & Johnny (Becky) Bowen, Sulphur Springs, AL; sisters, Pauline (Chick) McCarty, Rising Fawn, GA, & JoAnn (Roland) Durham, Trenton, GA; brothers, Doug McMahan, Valley Head, AL, George (Lynn) McMahan, Trenton, GA, & Buckshot McMahan, Ft. Payne, AL; grandchildren, Jennifer Liles, Rodney Bowen, Chancie West, Branson Bowen, Treble Lewis, Breanna Houston, & Tristan Bowen; great-grandchildren, Kaylea & Nolan Liles; several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stancel will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18th at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Robert Goff & Rev. Mark Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in Hanna Cemetery, Rising Fawn, GA.
