Robert Franklin “Bob” Huffine
Robert Franklin “Bob” Huffine, 77, of Lithia Springs, Georgia, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on December 4, 2023, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1946, to the late John Frank and Lilian Rachel Huffine. He graduated from City High School in 1964 and after graduation he went to the University of Tennessee Knoxville where he received his bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and most importantly met the love of his life, Peggy. Bob was also a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
After both graduating UTK, Bob and Peggy were married and they moved to Huntsville, Al., where Bob went on the University of Alabama Huntsville and received his MBA. Bob worked for Chrysler Corporation and Flight Systems for many years in their automotive divisions. He retired from Flight Systems in 2005. Bob was an avid “Vols” fan and whether it was football, basketball, baseball, softball or even volleyball he was actively rooting on his beloved Volunteers. Bob was also an avid bass fisherman and a member of the FLW (Fishing League Worldwide).
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Frank and Lilian Rachel Huffine.
Left behind to cherish Bob’s memory are his wife of 56 years, Peggy; his daughter, Sara (Aaron) Cluck; son, Jonathan (Cristine) Huffine, three grandchildren, Kaleigh; Alivia; and Grayson, and many numerous friends.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held graveside on Friday, Dec. 8, at 12 p.m. in the Forest Hills Cemetery.
