Virginia Garner Holloway, 89, of Jasper, Tennessee, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 24, 2023.

Virginia was born to the late James Rice Garner, Sr. and Esther Holden Garner on April 15, 1934. She was married to Lewis Holloway Jr. for seventy years. She was a graduate of the 1952 class of Marion County High School. She was of the Baptist faith and was saved at an early age. She served God faithfully the rest of her life. She willingly followed her husband for fifty years in the ministry, even going as far away as Bearing, Maine as home missionaries with the Southern Baptist. Virginia loved to quilt, sew, crochet and embroider.

Virginia was preceded in death by her father, James Rice Garner, Sr.; mother, Esther Holden Garner; brother, James Rice Garner, Jr. and infant sister.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Lewis Holloway, Jr.; son, Don (Gail) Holloway; daughters, Margaret (Earl) Keeler, Martha (Jackie) Dishman; grandchildren, Christy Farrow, James (Ashley) Keeler, Stephanie (Andrew) Carter, Aaron (Crystal) Dishman, Robert Holloway, Derek (JoAnn) Holloway, Tiffany (Matt) Broom; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 26, from 4-8 p.m. CST and on Thursday, April 27, from 12-2 p.m. CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tn.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 27, at 2 p.m. CST in the chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Doyle Chamblee and Pastor Mike Teague officiating.

Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, Tn., immediately following the funeral service.

Pallbearers are James Keeler, Ethan Farrow, Aaron Dishman, Robert Holloway, Derek Holloway and Matt Broom.
