Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Worley
Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Worley, 70, of Dayton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
She was born and grew up on Signal Mountain, Tn. Debbie lived her life devoted to her family. She found joy in caring for her children and grandchildren and had a passion for gardening—especially flowers, which brought her peace and happiness. Debbie enjoyed canning, cooking and traveling, especially going to the beach, late night western movies and dare you to touch the remote. Also, in her younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding and riding Harleys with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Worley; her parents, Damon and Alma Phipps; and her brother, Larry Phipps.
Survivors include children, Jennifer “Jenny” Scott (Shane), Kim Deakins, and Jeremy Worley (Melissa); her beloved grandchildren: Mason and Chloe Scott, Hailey and Hannah Deakins, andPreston, Parker, and Paisley Worley; her sisters, Janice Pickett and Charlotte Stewart (Jamie); and her brother, Marlon Phipps (Leigh Anne).
The family would like to give special thanks to her granddaughter, Chloe Scott, and to Kailee Nelson, Amber Dugger and Crystal Griffin for their devoted care and support for Debbie.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5–8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, with Rocky Bradford officiating. Interment will follow in Hall Cemetery on Signal Mountain.
Serving as pallbearers are Mason Scott, Preston Worley, Parker Worley, Eric Phipps, Brandon Pickett, Brent Pickett, Shane Scott.
