Charlotte Rose Stapp Yalden
Charlotte Rose Stapp Yalden, 84 of Ringgold, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
She was born in Ocala, Fl., and resided in the Chattanooga area for most of her life. Formerly she was a member of Flintstone Baptist church for many years and was currently a member of Simpson United Methodist Church. Charlotte retired from South Central Bell in 2006 and was a good cook. Her most cherished time was spent surrounded by her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Colby Yalden; parents Carl Stapp and Mary Hoyt Stapp; siblings, Joyce McCormick Williams, Carl Stapp Jr., Earl Stapp, Gaye McLaughlin, and Mary Ann Wise.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Thomas “Tom” Yalden; son, Thomas “David” Yalden II; brother, Rollin (Janice) Stapp; grandchildren, Thomas “Trip” Yalden III, Ashleigh (Steven) Meers, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4–8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor John Oldham officiating.
Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens – South with Donald Williams, John McLaughlin, Larry Williams, Rollin Stapp II, Patrick Williams and Dale Robertson serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Williams and David McLaughlin. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate).
