William “Bo” Bartley
William “Bo” Bartley, age 81, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mayo and Lorene Bartley; infant son, Terry Bartley; his brothers and sisters, Charles Bartley, Brenda Caywood, Maggie Frady and Mary Nell Brindle.
He loved his family and he loved his Lord. He attended Crosspointe Christian Centre and was an active member of the Agape Sunday School Class. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, also known as the “Chip Man”.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shelby Bartley; daughters, Renee (Randy) Ballew of Chatsworth and April Bartley of Rocky Face; sisters, Edith (Oscar) Walker of Dalton and Rhonda Baker of Rocky Face; brothers, Grady (Loretta) Bartley of Dalton and brother-in-law, Frank Caywood of Florida; grandchildren, Mitchell Ballew and Tyler Ballew, Samantha (Logan) Agan and Xalista Everett; great grandchildren, Waylon and Ridge Agan; special fishing buddy, Lamar Smith; nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 3, at 3 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral with Rev. Mike Douglas and Rev. Billy Weatherford officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the service time at 3 p.m.
