Julia Ann Millard, 81, of Dayton, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.

She was born in Dayton on December 29, 1941, the daughter of the late Clifford and Willie (Fine) Arnold. 

Julia lived in Dayton all her life, graduated from Rhea Central High School, and was employed as the Dayton City School cafeteria manager for 21 years. She enjoyed basketball, traveling with her family, and knitting. She was a member of Garrison Baptist Church. 

Julia is survived by her husband of 59 years, Pat Millard of Dayton; her two sons, James (Sandy) Millard and Timothy Millard, both of Dayton; her two granddaughters, Megan Millard of Chattanooga and Allison Millard of Dayton; and her grandson, James Patrick (Amanda) Millard, Jr., of Dayton. 

Funeral services for Julia will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. with Dr. Barry Purser officiating. She will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, June 5, 2023.

The family is being cared for by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, TN, where they will receive friends on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
