The Pizza Place on Signal Mountain has been a favorite to many for more than 35 years. The owner Paul Roberts has spent half of his life dedicated to the restaurant.

But despite his strongest efforts, Mr. Roberts said he will have to close the doors to the business at the end of the month.

He said that since the pandemic, business has not been the same. He said he is having to close the restaurant with less than he had when he began the business.

A GoFundMe has been started by Makenzie Willis to help Mr. Roberts. She said "the purpose of this GoFundMe is to build a 'retirement fund' to help replace some of the money that was invested into staying open for so long."
