J D Vance said massive immigration contributes to shortages in housing and high prices for rent. Violating their rules, the CBS debate moderator argued with him and cut off his mic. But is he right? Common sense says, increase the demand with a limited supply and costs go up. That’s what the Fed Board of Governors said (Michelle Bowman 10/2/24).
Since Biden wandered into the White House, the Fed raised interest rates to over 7 percent making loans for construction and purchasing a residence much more difficult. Nine percent inflation with Biden/Harris drove up prices that haven’t come down making rent, building materials, delivery and labor costs unaffordable for many. NYC puts migrants in hotels. Where will they eventually live?
There was no mention of home insurance going up with Biden. Since 2023, it’s gone up 23 percent (CNBC 8/18/24) which affects renters and landlords as well. Instead the left circled the wagons as they can’t let Vance bust their hoax. The left has an endless supply of post-nominal experts eager to jump on their bandwagon to say what they’re paid to say. CBS’s answer was just silence Vance’s mic.
Kamala Harris can’t defend her administration’s policy of massive migration creating needs for housing, feeding, education and health care and the impact all of that has on the economy. FEMA is almost out of money as they shifted funds, $690 million this year according to DHS Secretary Mayorkas, to assist communities with illegals migrants (WPMI NBC15 News 10/3/24) a crisis Biden/Harris caused. This is a model of irresponsibility.

What is irresponsible is how MAGAs misuse the First Amendment.
The MAGAs expect anyone and everyone to believe their doublespeak, double standards, lack of context, lies, misinformation, mistruths, omissions (deliberate or ignorant), and sophistry to be the infallible truth. It’s peddled as such. They point out what they abhor about Democrats while proudly committing the same acts they abhor.
Such beliefs can occur among Democrats though; but they are not so pompous as to stubbornly believe their statements and positions are not to be questioned or refuted.
After researching many statements of Mr. Ralph Miller’s recent use of his First Amendment right, I find his letter to be as I described about MAGA beliefs. To be fair, a few true statements did appear, but each lacked context.
One of Mr. Miller’s many particularly egregious proclamations immediately jumped out at me. Mr. Miller stated, “There was no mention of home insurance going up with Biden.”
I agree; there was no mention of “home insurance (rates) going up with Biden” during the VP debate. Nevertheless, Mr. Miller blames President Biden solely for "home insurance (rates) going up with Biden”.
Mr. Miller is absolutely wrong by leading the reader to infer that insurance rates are controlled by President Biden, or any President. They are not.
Neither the President nor the federal government regulates insurance rates, as Mr. Miller wants you to believe. Each State individually regulates insurance rates.
Mr. Miller’s source for increased home insurance rates is an 8/18/2024 CNBC interview with David Sampson, president of the American Property and Casualty Insurance Association. Mr. Sampson begins by addressing inflation, described by him as the core driver of insurance rates.
Mr. Sampson's single statement enabled Mr. Miller to lead the reader to infer that President Biden solely caused inflation, and that inflation is the only cause for “home insurance going up.” Mr. Sampson talked about the many other causes of increasing insurance rates, all ignored by Mr. Miller. For home insurance, there are far more weather related causes (i.e. storms) that in years past. There are far more fires. The National Centers for Environmental Information has kept track of billion-dollar natural disasters since 1980 and cites increased exposure, vulnerability, and climate change as reasons for the increase.
I fervently hope that someone will challenge me that Mr. Miller’s “home insurance going up with Biden” is factually and contextually true, while telling me I do not have a clue about insurance.
