Rescue 82 Prepares For 7th Relief Mission To Ukraine

  • Tuesday, February 13, 2024
Chattanooga Police Officers, Captain Daniel Francis, Sergeant Lee Salyers and Sergeant Jeremiah Cook will lead Rescue 82’s seventh relief mission to Ukraine in March.

The police officers will be joined by United States Air Force veteran and pastor of Kimball Baptist Church, Bruce Howland, as well as McCallie alumnus Evan Monsees.

All team members from the Chattanooga-based non-profit are using their vacation time to travel to the war-torn country and serve alongside Ukrainian pastors and chaplains distributing food and supplies.

Rescue 82 was inside Ukraine just 34 days after the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022.
Rescue 82 founder, Jeremiah Cook, said, “After two years of full-scale war, the suffering of the Ukrainian people continues. We hope to help as many people as possible on our upcoming mission.”

Rescue 82 consists of first responders, military veterans and like-minded individuals committed to using their skills and abilities to help those suffering in the middle of war, conflict and disaster.
