Thomas Dale Goode
Thomas Dale Goode was born on March 23, 1948, in LaGrange, GA, to Deconley Goode and Wilma Person Goode. He went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at his residence.
Thomas was a United States Army Veteran and faithfully served his country during his enlistment as an Army Intelligence Specialist.
Thomas was an avid worker and dedicated employee for many years at S&M Lumber and was currently employed at Pilgrim Pride.
Thomas was an avid music lover and thoroughly enjoyed dancing during his young adult years. He shared his love for these things with others, especially his younger sisters by having dance contests for kids and giving out money prizes to the winners.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mrs. Willie Lee Goode; sisters, Betty McGuire, Brenda Goode-Moon and Willie Mae Hodges; brothers; John Dale Goode, and George Sylvester McGee, Jr.; grandparents, Doc and Julia Person.
He leaves to cherish his memories, four sisters, Annette Caldwell, Martha Lyons, Lolita McGee-Bryson (Harlin, Sr.), and Youlanda McGee-Anderson, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
A noon funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15, in the chapel of the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. gate time.
