Lee's Nedrow Named NCBWA First Team All-American

  • Friday, May 24, 2024
Jack Nedrow punctuated a fantastic junior season as he was named a National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) First Team All-American this week.

The ace of the Lee pitching staff went 11-1 with a 3.22 ERA. He struck out 84 batters in 78.1 innings pitched. The hard-throwing Murfreesboro native was named the Gulf South Conference Pitcher of the Year and led the Flames to the GSC Regular Season Championship and the program's third NCAA Regional Championship appearance in four years.

"What an awesome honor for Jack.
He represents our first player to be named 1st Team All-American at the D2 level," said Lee head coach Mark Brew. "He has helped lead our team to new heights and is someone we have built our pitching staff around. We are all super proud of the year he put together."

Brandon Daniels joined Nedrow on the list as an NCBWA Honorable Mention All-American. The slugging right fielder ended his collegiate career in style with a .380 average, seven homers, 22 doubles, 66 RBI, 71 hits and a .621 slugging percentage. Daniels was also honored as a GSC and All-South Region First Team selection.

"Brandon had a super year and culminated his career in a big way. He helped lead our offense to new heights and we are excited to have him joining our coaching staff as a GA next year," added Brew.

The Flames finished the 2024 season with a 39-18 mark. They won the GSC Regular Season crown for the second time in program history and made their third NCAA South Regional appearance in the last four years.
