Special event road closures:
Juneteenth National Freedom Day Parade and Gala
The following closures will take place on Wednesday, June 19th for the Juneteenth National Freedom Day Parade and Gala:
Peeples Street between E 10th Street and E MLK Blvd will be closed from Noon until 2 PM for the parade lineup
Georgia Ave between E 10th Street and E MLK Blvd will be closed from Noon until 5:30 PM
E MLK Blvd from Magnolia Street to Georgia Ave will be closed from 12:45 PM until 2 PM (estimated) for the Parade, this includes the following intersections with E MLK Blvd: University Street, Foster Street, Palmetto Street, Douglas Street, Mabel Street, Houston Street, King Street, Lindsay Street
Detours are available via E 10th Street and McCallie Ave.

The following roads and intersections will be closed every Friday starting May 24th through August 30th from 4:00 PM until 12 Midnight:
· Cherry Street at E MLK Blvd
· Martin Luther King Blvd Between Market Street and Lindsay Street (Market Street will remain open in both directions for the duration)
· Georgia Ave from E 10th Street to MLK Blvd
· Georgia Ave from MLK Blvd to E 8th Street
Any traffic needing to exit businesses or street parking spaces after the closure begins will be permitted to leave the closure at the intersection of MLK Blvd and Lindsay Street.
Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon - Road Closure / Detour Schedule
FRIDAY, JUNE 21, AND SATURDAY, JUNE 22
BEGINNING AT 9:00 AM: One block of Riverfront Parkway, between Power Alley and Chestnut Street, will be closed for race venue set and pre-race activities. Tractor trailers will not be permitted between W MLK Blvd and Lookout Street unless providing local deliveries.
SUNDAY, JUNE 23 - RACE DAY - BEGINNING AT 5 AM and REOPENING AT 5 PM
· Riverfront Parkway will be closed from Molly Lane’s east entrance to Aquarium Way.
· All inbound traffic on Amnicola Hwy / Riverside Drive / Riverfront Parkway will be detoured off at Battery Place.
· Aquarium Way and Lookout Street will have outbound-only access to Riverfront Parkway/Riverside Drive.
· The inside lanes of Riverfront Pkwy / Riverside Drive / Amnicola Hwy, inbound and outbound, will be closed to bicycle traffic only, with the support of the Chattanooga Police Department at major intersections.
· 7:00 am - 1:00 pm: Expect high runner traffic on the Southside section of the Riverwalk
Chattanooga Football Club Home Match
The following roads will be closed on Saturday, June 22 from 3 PM until 7 PM:
· Reggie White Blvd between the Chattanooga Skate Park north entrance and W 20th
· Chestnut Street between W 17th Street and W 19th Street
· W 19th Street between Reggie White Blvd and Chestnut Street
Street parking will be prohibited on Chestnut Street within the closure on the dates/times listed above. Vehicles left within the closure will be towed at the owner's expense.
Bridge The Ridge: Missionary Ridge and Ridgedale Party
Sheridan Road between S Seminole Drive and S Crest Road will be closed Saturday, June 22 from 4 PM until 7 PM for the Bridge The Ridge Party.
