Man Forgot To Let Police Know He Found His Vehicle - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

Day Shift July 13
3600 BLK Wimberly Lane – Warrant Service –
Officers executed an arrest warrant for theft of property.
The subject was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
300 BLK Dunlap Avenue – Harassment –
A woman called police regarding her cousin pestering her about money. She alleged he gave her money as a housewarming gift but now wants it back. She was advised to tell the party to stop contacting her, block his number, and let police know if he continues messaging or calling her.
900 BLK Spring Creek Road– Suspicious Person -
Hospital security stated a visitor was issued a criminal trespass warning the evening before and had returned. Upon investigation, it was determined the visitor had not been issued a criminal trespass warning, nor had police been contacted concerning the issue.
900 BLK McBrien Road – Burglar Alarm
A Burglar Alarm activation proved to be accidental.
3600 BLK Maiden Drive – Runaway-
The RP stated her granddaughter had left her residence, once again, without her permission and was refusing to return. Police spoke to the juvenile, via telephone, who eventually agreed to be picked up if she would not be arrested as a runaway.
5700 BLK Ringgold Road – Stolen Vehicle -
Police observed a vehicle, based on an LPR hit, which had been reported as stolen 2 days prior. A high-risk stop was conducted on Ringgold Road. The driver was the registered owner and stated he had reported the vehicle as stolen, but it had merely been repossessed. He stated he failed to report he had recovered the vehicle. The vehicle was removed from NCIC.
Night Shift July 13
100 BLK East Ridge Avenue – Disorder –
The reporting party advised there were several elementary aged children playing in the road. On scene, police observed several high-school age children sitting on the roadside talking. With police on scene, the mother of the children showed up and ensured there were no issues.
1500 BLK Karwill Lane– Disorder –
Police responded to a verbal disorder at this address. The reporting party stated her neighbor called her a bad name during an argument, but no threats were made. Police asked everyone to return to their respective residences for the evening.
6000 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft –
The business owner reported an unknown female stole two pipes from the store and left in a black Dodge sedan. The owner of the store did not wish to prosecute for the theft but wanted to criminally trespass the suspect if identified.
4500 BLK Bennett Road – Domestic Assault –
A woman was arrested after police found she open-hand slapped her roommate.
24-008981 – 100 BLK Margareta Lane – Theft from Vehicle –
The caller reported a suitcase was stolen from the trunk of her vehicle at this location. The theft occurred at approximately 0258 hours, and she believed her daughter’s ex-boyfriend was responsible for the crime. No further evidence was provided for incident.
I-24 Westbound – Traffic Stop / Arrest –
During a routine traffic stop, police found that a man had a verified arrest warrant out of East Ridge. During a search incident to arrest, police located two small bags of suspected methamphetamine and a pressed piece of foil containing suspect fentanyl. The suspect was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Fentanyl.
