On July 21, 2024, Larry Call passed into the next life.

He was born July 20, 1952, to James Marvin and Mary Louise Call in Indianapolis, In. Growing up in Mooresville, In., he built lifelong friendships and a love for the outdoors. He moved his family to the Chattanooga area in 2000, working with Lear Corporation in Dayton, Tn.

He retired from Volkswagen Chattanooga in 2021 after nearly 12 years as facility maintenance engineer, overseeing the building maintenance contractors. He had a lifetime as maintenance and plant management in various plants in Indiana moving to continue in Tennessee and North Georgia.

He greatly enjoyed football, hunting, fishing, boating, gardening, exploring new craft beers, music and playing the guitar. He loved being surrounded by his grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

His survivors include wife, Lavonne, brother Steve (Martha) of Lake Tansi, son Dylan Call of Monrovia, IN, daughters in Chattanooga- Justine Jefferson (Mario), Erin LaFever (Steven), stepdaughter Rachel McDaniel, his grandchildren Amari Jefferson, Laila Jefferson, Nevaya (Nevi) Jefferson, Jeremiah (Chase) Jefferson and Barrett LaFever, step grandchildren Emily McDaniel and Terry McDaniel (Hope) as well as nephews and nieces and many lifelong friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 2 to 5 pm at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.

Flowers or donations to Stand Up to Cancer at www.standuptocancer.org or World Central Kitchen at www.wck.org would be a lovely remembrance.
