Shirley Ann Reynolds, age 86, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 after a two-year battle with cancer and heart problems.

Shirley was born in Chattanooga, TN on April 11, 1938. She attended Red Bank High School and Carson-Newman College. Most of her working career was as dental office manager for Dr. Don Reynolds, her husband of 49 years, who preceded her in death in 2020. Also preceding her in death was her son, Carlitos, her parents Joe Bush and Anna Mae Bush and her niece Stephanie Ann Robinson.

She is survived by sons, Donald Roland II, William Charles; sister Betty Robinson; several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church (presently a member of the Point Church campus) for 76 years. In 1990, she participated in her first mission trip to Honduras through her church and the Honduras Baptist Dental Mission. In 1996 a mission trip to Orphanage Emmanuel in Honduras resulted in the adoption of Carlitos Reynolds by Don and Shirley.

Don and Shirley resided on Signal Mountain for over 50 years and enjoyed cruising and spending time at their beautiful home in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, as often as possible.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Dr. Fred Steelman and Minister Bill Harvey,

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orphanage Emmanuel, 2570 Pinewood Drive, Marietta, GA 30068 or to Honduras Baptist Dental Mission, P.O. Box 1807, Collins, MS 39428.
