Stephan Jaeger was not able to duplicate his sparkling second round at the Olympic Men’s Golf Competition on Saturday.

The former Baylor School and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga golfer shot a 1-over par 71, finishing the round tied for 21st at 6-under 207. The Chattanooga resident sits eight shots off the lead held by Spain’s Jon Rahm and USA’s Xander Schauffele, tied at 14-under.

Representing his native country of Germany, Jaeger got off to a rough start with a double-bogey on the par 3 third hole. He rallied with birdies at 3, 6 and 14, but two more bogeys dropped him 13 spots on the day.

The final round at Le Golf National outside of Paris concludes Sunday morning with Jaeger teeing off at 5:17 EDT paired with USA’s Wyndham Clark and Shane Lowry of Ireland.
