Betty Jo Sharp
Betty Jo Sharp, 87, of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. She was born on July 7, 1937, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to parents, Charlie and Minnie Headrick.
She graduated from Kirkman High School and retired from Mohawk Industries. Betty loved quilting baby quilts for her grandchildren, traveling especially going on cruises and playing adult co-ed softball. Betty was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She had a large family with many grands and great grands and loved her time with them. Betty will be dearly missed.
Betty was preceded in death by her life partner of 51 years, James Lane; daughter, Rhonda Sharp; parents, Charlie and Minnie Headrick; brothers, Oscar and Daniel Headrick; sisters, Clara Wyrick and Juanita Reagan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Donna (Dexter) McCoy, Forest Park, GA; Dee Ann (Robert) Willis, Ringgold; and Jeanie (Ron) Edgemon, East Ridge; a brother, Robert Headrick, Rossville; she was “Mimmie” to seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Caris Health Care for the care given to Betty during her time with them.

A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at TN-GA Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Sept. 3, from 4-8 p.m.
