Billie Cooley, Sr.
Billie Cooley, Sr. passed away August 9, 2024. He was born November 3, 1928 and was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Eva Cooley, his beloved wife Jean Cooley, son Billie Cooley, Jr. and daughter Sherrie Cooley Graham.
Bill lived a wonderful, full life. He met his wife Jean and married in 1948. They started with literally nothing, but built a life together through lots of hard work and determination to give their family security. He provided for his family as a printer, which led to creating a family printing business. He and Jean also turned a hobby of remodeling houses into a second career. He loved gospel music and enjoyed watching the old western movies. He was able to live out his dream of staying independent until the very end.
He was a wonderful husband, dad, and grandfather and had many special friends and never met a stranger.
He is survived by his daughter Debby (Kenneth) Smith, six grandchildren Wednesday (Bill) Tym, Jenna (Ronny) Ankar, Jennifer (Mark) Toomey, Tera Cooley, Amber (Andrew) Najberg and Tyler Graham. He was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren that he loved dearly.
Graveside services will be officiated by his nephew Bob Cooley, who he loved like a son, and will be held Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 12 p.m. at Lakewood Memory Garden South in Rossville, Ga.

His sweet neighbors Joyce, Joe, and Mrs. Rice helped him for years. Your kindness will never be forgotten…you are all angels on Earth.
