Chattanooga’s Lesley Boyd was named the Southern Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week the league office announced today.
Boyd finished 10th out of 501 runners at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala., last week. She posted a time of 17:02.25 and led Chattanooga to a 10th place finish in the prestigious event.
The Mocs women are ranked 14th in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) South Region. Chattanooga returns to action Saturday, October 5 at the Live in Lou Cross Country Invitational in Louisville, Ky.
