William Carl "Bill" Brindle
William Carl "Bill" Brindle, 79, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 28, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on Aug. 27, 1945, in Dalton, to the late Carl Samuel "C.B." Brindle and Helen Ruth Williams Brindle. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Brindle, Ronnie Brindle, sisters, Vicky Brindle, and Patricia Ann Patterson, his brother-in-law Sam Culver, and his sister-in-law Becky Brindle.
Bill was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. He was an active member of City View Church of God and lived a life grounded in faith, love, and family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Elizabeth Brindle; his sons and daughters-in-law, Carl Andrew “Drew” Brindle and Maria Barrientos of Chatsworth, GA, and Samuel “Lee” Brindle and Christina Brindle of Tunnel Hill, GA; his brother, Paul Dewayne Brindle of Dalton, GA; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda Sue Perkins of Rocky Face, GA, Connie Culver of Resaca, GA, Wynette and Gary Fuquea of Calhoun, GA, and Jan and Dwight McElrath of Rocky Face, GA; and his brother-in-law Harvey Patterson of Rocky Face, GA. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Ashley Brindle, Drew Brindle, Rose Brindle, Hayden Brindle, and Grayson Brindle, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A service to celebrate the life of William Carl “Bill” Brindle will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 3 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel, with Pastor Nathan Case officiating. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark White, Christian Castillo, Don Tate, Robbie Stephens, and Adam Holcomb. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service begins at 3 p.m.
