Frank L. Youngblood
Frank L. Youngblood, 90, of Rossville, Georgia passed away and went home to be with the love of his life, Merrie, on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
He was born May 8, 1934, in Rossville, to parents, Eldon and Irene Youngblood.
Frank obtained his GED and attended Walker Technical College under the GI Bill. He retired with 30 plus years’ service from Combustion Engineering and Lane Funeral Home South Crest Chapel as an ambassador with 25 years’ service. Frank was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Park Lodge 75 where he served as past Chancellor Commander. He was a lifelong member of Fairview Baptist Church. Frank served many roles in the church including deacon, trustee, Financial Chair and also taught and attended the Harvesters Sunday School Class.
He enjoyed his vegetable garden, being on the lake with his boat and fishing. Frank cheered on his Georgia Bulldogs and had an incredible bass voice when singing his favorite Southern Gospel music. He was a very wise man and devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. His family will miss him dearly.
Frank is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Merrie Lynn Evans Youngblood; parents, Eldon and Irene Youngblood; sister, Gloria Jean McArthur Tribble and Joyce Bright; brother, Fred Steven Youngblood.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Daniel Lamar (Christy) Youngblood and Rodney Warren (Danita) Youngblood; four grandchildren, Shayna D. (Dave) George, Laken A. Youngblood, Spencer P. (Mary Catherine) Youngblood, Cody L. (Bre) Youngblood; eight great grandchildren, Carson Lamar Youngblood, Hudson Wade Youngblood, Coraline George, Remus George, Arwen George, Luna George, Briggs Youngblood, Avery Youngblood; lifelong friends, Margie Alloway, Theda O’Neal, Marion Lewis, and Lynn Shaw; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

A chapel service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, in the chapel of Lane Funeral Home with interment to follow at TN-GA Memorial Park. Pastor Jim Bennett will be officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 4-8 p.m. and again on Friday, Sept. 4, from noon until the service hour of 2 p.m.
