In-Depth Schedule Outlook

Chattanooga will open at USC, now a Big Ten member, on November 4 to mark the program’s second season opener in Los Angeles, Calif., in recent years after claiming a win at Loyola Marymount to kick off the 2021-22 title season. The two teams will meet for the second time in series history (USC – W, 73-46 – 11/21/08).

The Mocs will then move north to Moraga, Calif., to face perennial West Coast and national power Saint Mary’s (CA) on November 7. It’ll be the first-ever meeting between the Mocs and the Gaels, who earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the fifth-straight season in 2023-24.

Chattanooga will stay on the road for a November 11, in-state battle at Austin Peay, which will be the first matchup against the Govs since 2011. UTC will hold its home opener on November 14 against Morehead State, who was also an NCAA Tournament team from last season.

After a road contest at SEMO on November 17, the Mocs will play its next five games inside McKenzie Arena including an MTE event (November 25-27) featuring Tennessee State and Bryant. The homestand begins on November 21 against Johnson (TN) and wraps up on December 3 against Lipscomb.

UTC will travel to Evansville for the first time in program history on December 12 for a rematch following last season’s tilt in the Roundhouse. Alabama A&M arrives in the Scenic City for a December 15 contest which is also a rematch from last year’s campaign.

Tennessee Wesleyan visits on December 18 before the non-conference finale commences at Big Ten-member Indiana inside Assembly Hall on December 21. The Mocs and Hoosiers meet for the fourth time overall and first time since the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
