Maureen Patricia Downey Parr, 67, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024.

Maureen was a dedicated operating room nurse and always found joy in the company of her coworkers. She enjoyed time with family, especially the holidays, music, camping, beach vacations, and collecting antiques.

Maureen was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian, father, Edward, and brother, Michael.

She is survived by her husband, Ken, daughters, Courtney, Stephanie (Luke), and Jennifer (Blake), son, Kevin (Shelby), grandchildren, Lilly, Leaf, Leila, Merritt, and Brooke, brothers, Edward, John, and Donald, and sisters, Jean, Ronnie, Laura, and Theresa, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will take place at a later date to be announced by the family prior to burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Chattanooga.

In lieu of flowers, a tree may be planted in remembrance through the Hamilton Funeral Home page, or donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at https://secure.nationalmssociety.org/site/Donation.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the care Maureen received during her years at Viviant Healthcare, and to the nurses at Hearth Hospice for ensuring mom’s peace and comfort in her last days.

Maureen was treasured by those she leaves behind and will be remembered for the love she gave her family, her faith, and the fun and happiness she brought into the lives of those around her.
