Mary Lee Bramlett Carver
Mary Lee Carver (nee Bramlett) went to be with her Lord on January 21 at the age of 85 surrounded by her family after a second long and valiant fight against cancer and other health issues.
A native of Rhea and Hamilton County, she lived for many years in Trion, GA, and most recently in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. An avid University of Tennessee Volunteer fan, Mary Lee held football season tickets for over 45 years. She enjoyed nothing better than spending Saturday in Neyland Stadium. She attended Soddy Daisy High School, graduating in 1958. Mary Lee attended Chattooga Baptist Church, LaFayette. She was employed for 20 years with Cutter Labs and then retired from Imperial Cup in LaFayette, GA with 20 years’ service.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse Bramlett and Bessie Ray McSpadden (Pugh) Bramlett (Hutcheson) and older brother Garland (Pete) Pugh.
She will be deeply missed by her stepson Butch Carver (Cheryl), her five surviving siblings, John M. Bramlett (Martha), Fred A. Bramlett (Charlotte), Robert A. Bramlett, Judy A. Hutcheson (Jim Cash), and Linda D. Hutcheson (Paul Hackney), her granddaughter, Jordan Voiles; great granddaughter, Cora; several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, great grand-nieces and great grand-nephews; and numerous cousins along with cherished friend in Tennessee, Arkansas, and northern Georgia.
Family and friends will honor Mary Lee’s memory with a visitation on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Lane Funeral Home South Crest Chapel in Rossville from noon to 3 p.m. with a service to celebrate her life to be held immediately following. Burial will be at Smyrna Cemetery, Evensville, TN, Saturday, January 25 at 2 p.m.
