The Cleveland State basketball teams will welcome Motlow State to their court Wednesday.
The Cleveland State women (3-12, 5-17) are looking for the season series sweep against the Bucks (1-23, 1-14).
This will be the second meeting between the two schools with Cleveland winning at Motlow 54-50 back on December 4.
In that game the Cougars Addison Garner scored a game high 20 points and Mar'Nazha Houston came down with 24 rebounds to lead Cleveland State to a win.
Maiya Moore comes in as the Cougars leading scorer at 11.2 per game. Jarnyri Maddox comes in averaging 10.3 and Ziara Thompson is putting in 10.1 points. Houston is the conference leader in rebounding at 16 per game.
Cleveland State as a team is putting in 49.4 points per game on 32.5 percent shooting from the field, 23.4% from behind the three-point line and 53% from the free-throw line while averaging 38.6 rebounds and 8 assists.
Motlow State comes in with 44.7 points per game on 30.7 percent shooting including 20.7% from behind the arc and 58.3% from the free-throw line with 32 rebounds and 8.3 assists.
Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. and will be the second to last home game of the season for the Cougars.
The Cleveland State men lost by a point the last time these two schools met.
Back on December 4 the Cougars (5-16, 1-12) went to Motlow State (4-21, 3-11) forcing overtime, but ended up on the losing end 75-74.
Jeremiah Hayes led the way for the Cougars scoring a team high 23 points. Hayes is the team leader scoring 17 points per game. Josiah Marsh comes in averaging 8.7 with Landen Paquette putting in 8.5 and Kam'Ron Lee scoring 8.
Cleveland State as a team is scoring 68 points per game on 41.6 percent shooting from the field, 33.1% from behind the three-point line and 68.9% from the free-throw line while averaging 38 rebounds and 10.3 assists.
Motlow State comes in with 71.2 points per game on 41.7 percent shooting including 36.2% from behind the arc and 71.1% from the free-throw line with 29.8 rebounds and 12.8 assists.
Tip-off is set for Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. and will be the second to last home game of the season for the Cougars.
