Yuda Liu, MD, cardiothoracic surgeon, has joined Hamilton Physician Group – Cardiothoracic Surgery. 

A graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Dr. Liu completed residencies in thoracic surgery at Jackson Health System in Miami, Fl., and general surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Hines, Il. He completed a fellowship in advanced aortic surgery at Emory University in Atlanta.

Dr. Liu decided in college to pursue a medical career. Initially, he anticipated entering trauma and acute care surgery, but the unique challenges of cardiac surgery drew him in.

“Being uniquely privileged to be entrusted to heal someone with your hands is very rewarding,” Dr. Liu said. 

Dr. Liu said he approaches every patient with the care he would expect for himself.

He treats a range of adult heart-related issues, including coronary artery disease, aortic and mitral valvular disease and aneurysms. He is excited for changes in his field, including advances in traditional treatment strategies.
