Laurel Lorraine Veazey
Laurel Lorraine Veazey departed this world on March 7, 2025, after 99 years of joy and love to reunite with her beloved husband, Gerald.
She is survived by two sons and their spouses, two grandchildren and their spouses, and four great-grandchildren.
Originally from San Antonio, Texas, she lived with the values and determination of her generation who grew up during the Great Depression and served The Nation so well in times of war and peace.
Laurel was strong and sure in her faith. She spent her Sundays with her friends in the Hope class of Red Bank Baptist Church as they raised their families and grew old together. Her church served as the focus of her life outside her home and family.
Laurel always had a smile on her face and a friendly word for everyone she met, a true people person through and through.
Her spirit lives on through her family and friends.

A visitation for Laurel will be held on Saturday, March 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, P.O. Box 9, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 TN-153, Chattanooga, Tn. 37343.
