Pearl L. Timmons
Pearl L. Timmons, 81, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
She was born on Oct. 10,1943, to the late Foster William Talley and Mary Ellen Talley in Trenton, Ga., before moving to Fort Oglethorpe in 1968. She was a member of Cloud Springs Baptist Church where she was active in the choir. She was a survivor of pancreatic cancer since 1988. Pearl loved her family and served as a caregiver for many of those same family members. Everyone knew her as a sweet and caring person.
In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, James "Buddy" Hayward Timmons; sister, Robbie Brown; three brothers, Johnny Talley, William Talley, and Jerry Talley.
Those left to cherish Pearl's memory are her daughter, Michelle (James) Morgan; son, Greg Timmons; two brothers, Larry (Shirley) Talley, and Gary (Peggy) Talley; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 26, from 4-8 p.m. and prior to the service on Thursday from 12-2 p.m.
Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
