Billy Joe Asbill, 76, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025.

A beloved dad, paw-paw and friend, Bill was born on July 14, 1948 in Corinth, Ms. He was raised by his Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Willard Horton after the passing of his parents at a young age. He retired as production superintendent from W.R. Grace after 42 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, being on the lake, golfing, horseback riding, watching Tennessee and Alabama college football and piddlin’-around the farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Everett Asbill and Martha Ruth Dickey Asbill, brother, Jimmy Lyle Asbill and his Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Willard Horton.

He is survived by his brothers, Larry Asbill; David (Patty) Asbill of Corinth, Ms.; Ronnie (Kathy) Asbill of Philadelphia, Ms.; Hal Horton of Corinth, Ms.; children, Marty (Mimi) Asbill of Ooltewah; Robby (Heather) Asbill of Tunnel Hill; Becky (Trevor) Grudzinski of Harrison; Julie Moller of Ooltewah; Jeremy (Beth Ann) Booth of Ooltewah; grandchildren, Trent and Kindell Grudzinski, Riley and Brennen Asbill, Taylor Booth, Braedyn and Lindsay and Maverick Moller; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24, from 1-7 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m.
