Timothy Eugene Mullinax
Timothy Eugene Mullinax, 63, of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Tim was born on January 20, 1962 in Cleveland.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie and Kathleen Mullinax, grandparents Earl and Irene Mullinax and C.H. and Ora Hipps.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Denise Barnett Mullinax, daughter Taylor Mullinax of Columbia, SC and son Jameson Mullinax of Dalton, Ga.
Shortly after graduating from East Ridge High School, Tim served in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard until honorably discharged in 1994. He joined East Ridge Police Department in January 1990. He began his career as a patrolman, shortly became detective, and retired as captain after 27.5 years due to a diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease. After his diagnosis in 2016, he began to participate in Rock Steady Boxing, a program that aids in mitigating Parkinson's symptoms, where he found not only a support group but a second family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 5, from 12-8 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory at 833 Chickamauga Ave., Rossville, Ga.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
