Brian Locke
Brian Locke, 67, passed away in a local hospital on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Hixson, Tennessee.
An architect, he was retired from Artech Design Group. He was serious about his work but never took himself too seriously. He loved woodworking (he never saw a tool he didn’t like), making models, and playing his guitar. Brian enjoyed sitting on the front porch, rain or shine. His family was the most important thing to him. He was a peaceable man who was happy to provide a lap to any dog or cat that wanted one. He will be sorely missed by everyone.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Sue Locke and Herman Locke.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Rhonda Locke; his son, Alex Locke; his brother, Mike (Kelly) Locke; niece, Hannah (Matt) Locke-Joplin; nephew, Heath Locke; and sister-in-law, Linda Lake.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to a charity of your choice.
A visitation for Brian will be held on Saturday, June 21, from 9-10 a.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson. A Celebration of Life Service will follow the visitation starting at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with a private service.
