Myra “Kathryn” Pickett, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away at her home peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025.

She enjoyed spending most of her time with her husband, Bill Pickett, her mother, Mary Rhinehart, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those who knew Kathy best knew that she loved all sports, especially the UT Vols. She attended Red Bank High School and was the Head Majorette and was high school sweethearts with Bill until his passing. She taught clogging to numerous children and was able to dance at the Grand Ole Opry. Her fondest memories were the many family vacations, family camping trips and sporting events such as her and Bill’s trips to UT games, her years of clogging, boating activities in the summers and countless school events with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Bill Pickett, and her mother Mary Rhinehart.

Survivors include three children: her daughter, Michelle Davis (Dave Musgraves), daughter, Melissa Black and son, Ryan Pickett (Laura); nine grandchildren: Gregory Pickett, Brittany Nelson, Kaitlyn Fly (John), Gabbye Nelson, Alisa Cecil (Josh), Ethan Black, Emma Black (Garren Ramey), Nathan Pickett and Kaine Black; six great-grandchildren; Jackson Nelson, Jace Nelson, Rose Pickett, Lennon Fly, Jonah Cecil, Ford Fly and 1 grand-pup, Onyx.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025.

A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral chapel, with Minister Steve Lusk officiating.
