Jacqueline Jean “Jackie” Olson, 78, of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 22, 2025.

She was a member of the Clear Creek Church of Christ for 45 years, where she served in multiple ministries, including teaching Sunday School, Ladies Bible Study, small group leader and many more. She also served in the Silverdale Women’s Prison Ministry and led Bible Study at the Soddy-Daisy Senior Center. Jackie had a passion for singing. Over the years she sang with Sweet Adelines Women’s Singing Group, with a mixed quartet and a ladies group called the Accidentals. Jackie earned her degree later in life and worked as a high school History teacher at Boyd Buchanan Christian School. Jackie loved her grandchildren fiercely and enjoyed bragging on them to anyone who would listen.

Born in Lawrenceburg, Tn., to a strong, Christian family, she was the oldest of four children and attended church regularly with her parents. She accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at the age of 13. Jackie met the love of her life, Bob, in 1961 and they married three years later. They had a loving marriage that spanned 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Imogene Allen, brother, Fred Allen and mother-in-law, Mary Olson.

Survivors are her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Olson; children, Dean Olson (Jennifer) and Dori Dunkley (Scott); siblings, David Allen (Kathy) and Donna Taylor (Harold); grandchildren, Liana, Robert, Elizabeth, Zach (Abbi), Emma, Juda, Renee; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Aug. 31, and the family will host a visitation between 4-5 p.m. The service will begin at 5 p.m. at Clear Creek Church of Christ in Hixson.
