GNTC Foundation Awards Fall 2025 Scholarships

The Foundation at Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) awarded approximately $40,000 in grants and scholarships for fall semester 2025, with recipients ranging in age from 17 to 87. Each scholarship included an award between $500 and $1,500 to assist in paying for fall semester at GNTC. If The John Ross House Has To Move, Let It Go To Cherokee, N.C.

Regarding the Chief John Ross House and whether it should be moved to Oklahoma. If it should be moved why not have it move to Cherokee, N.C. That is the home to the Eastern Band of the Cherokee people where the Trail of Tears began. More people will be able to see it and learn the history of the great Cherokee Nation's struggles imposed by the U.S. government of the time. It will be lost to history in Oklahoma. Lookouts Offense Stumbles In Series Opener

The first place Birmingham Barons and their pitching staff shut down the Chattanooga Lookouts in their series opener on Tuesday night. Chattanooga collected just five hits on the night and lost by a score of 6-1. Ethan O'Donnell gave the Lookouts a brief lead in the top of the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly to score Leo Balcazar.
