Jerry Wayne White, 51, of Chatsworth, Ga., died Saturday, August 13, 2011 at his residence.
Jerry was born December 15, 1959 in Polk City, Fla., a son of the late Tommy Milton and Ruby Higgins White; and was also preceded in death by his brother, Cecil White; and sister, Joyce Faye White.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda Kate White of the residence; son, Steven Hood; daughter, Angie Coleman; brothers, Richard White and James Burns; sisters and brother-in-law, Tommie Lee Wright of Chatsworth, Clara Welch of Dalton and Doris and Lloyd Smith of Albany, Ga.; and special niece, Haylie Welch of Dalton.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jerry Wayne White will be held Tuesday, August 16, at 11 a.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Pastor James Boyd and Chaplin Wesley Noland officiating. He will be laid to rest at White Cemetery with Bobby Wright, Daymon Atkins, Eric Atkins, Roger Coleman, Allen Coleman, Gary Blackman and Richard Bujak serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. Monday, August 15.
