Alvin John Mesarch, 97, of Lafayette, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015 in a local health care facility.
He was born on Sept. 19, 1918 in Dequesne, PA to the late Michael and Susan Mesarch; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen McCain; brothers, Eli Victor, William and Richard; sisters, Sue DeRosa, Anne Mesarch, Margaret Clark and Ruth Mears; special nephew, Walter Mesarch; special niece, Aves Dudash; and his son-in-law, John Kucharski..
He was a graduate of Meadville High School and was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He worked at Westing House and Talon (Plant 7) where he spent 25 years as a set-up man.
Alvin is survived by his daughter, Linda Kucharski, of Orlando, FL; son, John (Notoshia) Mesarch, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Michelle Kahler (Dean), Little Rock, AR, Robert (Sarah) Kucharski, of Arnold, MO and Mindy Bradley (Jarrod), of Rogersville, TN; great-grandchildren, Justin and Michael John Kucharski, Alexander Kahler, Allie and Laney Bradley; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial following cremation will be in Roseland Cemetery and a later date.
