Billy Elliott
Billy Ray Elliott, Jr., 45, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018, in a local hospital.
He was a graduate of Tyner High School’s class of 1991, then went on to attain his bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in Business from Austin Peay. Billy was a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated, Psi Pi Chapter. He worked as an accountant and his passion was coaching girls softball at Tyner High School.
He was a member of Inner Peace Church where he served as an associate minister.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tjuan Elliott, paternal grandparents Clifton and Louise Elliott, mother; maternal grandparents, Randolph and Sarah Epsey; and cousin, Derrick Shepherd.
He leaves behind two daughters, Breonna (Jaylen)Sims and LaBraia Elliott; father, Billy (Cathondra) Elliott; mother, Susie Maples; grandchildren, Alaina and Jaylen, Jr; mother of his children, Andretta “Dee Dee” Elliott; fiancee Rachel Glasco; stepsister, Christy (Richard) Laster; nephew, Armon Bell; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, at Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Ron King as the eulogist and Pastor Carlos Williams officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, East.
The body will lie in state at noon on Friday, Dec. 21, and the family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
