Freddy Robertson
James Fred "Freddy" Robertson, 62, of East Ridge passed away Thursday, November 14, in a tragic house fire, along with his faithful dog “Red” by his side.
Fred was a standout athlete at East Ridge High School, class of ’75. He graduated from UTC with a Bachelor's Degree in Education.
Fred was born on April 18, 1957. He was a kind and gentle man who loved his family and to watch sports, especially his beloved Tennessee Volunteers and Atlanta Braves. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed reading his Bible.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father Fred Robertson, who passed in 1959, and mother Edna McGowan Robertson. What a wonderful and joyous reunion they are having.
Left to cherish Freddy’s memories are his daughter, Allie M. Robertson, of Chattanooga, his sister Freida (Rex) Wheeler of East Ridge; nephews Josh (Vickie) Smith of Ringgold and Adam Smith of East Ridge.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Wayland Stewart officiating.
The family will receive friends from -4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
