Charging Batteries Cause Small Fire At GPS Monday Afternoon

The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to Girls Preparatory School Monday afternoon for small fire that happened in the library. 

The call came in at 4 p.m. 

Officials on the scene learned that some batteries that were charging in the library caused a small fire along the baseboard. 

Firefighters helped ventilate the school to remove some smoke. 

There were no injuries.
