Dean, Sally Sharp

Held Long Career With Provident Insurance Company

Sally Sharp Dean, 65, passed away on November 3, 2019, after a long battle with cancer.

 

Sally was born April 18, 1954 (Easter Sunday). She graduated from Marion County High School and attended college at UTC in Chattanooga. She retired from Provident Insurance Company with 30 years of service. She loved animals and is survived by two 20 year old cats, Winnie and Pooh! Her love of life was evident in everything she did. She was caring, kind and loved her family and friends selflessly. She will be greatly missed.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Randal Dean; father, Samuel Corry Sharp, Sr.; mother, Lola Marie Sharp and sister, Patricia Ruth Rollins.

 

She is survived by her sister and best friend, Laura D. Sharp; brothers, Samuel C. Sharp, Jr. and James Eugene Sharp; step-mother, Helen Burns Sharp; niece, Cherish Marie Sharp (Jeremy); nephews, James E. Sharp, Jr. (Teven), Michael L. Rollins (Heather) and several cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

 

The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 8, from 1-4 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, Hixson. There will be a private burial service with immediate family only, at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

 

Arrangements are held by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
