  • Wednesday, August 28, 2019

County Commissioner David Sharpe said Wednesday he plans to pass on his recent county raise to the scholarship fund set up by Supt. Bryan Johnson for county school students.

Commissioner Sharpe said he would give up his 2.5 percent pay increase.

Supt. Johnson donated his $15,000 bonus to the fund in honor of his late mother.

Commissioner Sharpe challenged other commissioners to do likewise, but none volunteered to do so.
