The Chattanooga Fire Department responded at 12:16 p.m., to 687 Boy Scout Road with four fire companies on a reported mobile home fire.

When crews arrived at Northgate Parts, they found an RV fire in the parking lot of the business. Fire and smoke was showing from the side of the RV. Crews made a quick fire attack and the fire was reported under control at 12:32 p.m.

According to reports, the owner of the RV had dropped off the RV earlier today and left the RV in the parking lot.
Employees at Northgate Parts noticed smoke coming from the RV.

At this time an origin of the fire or a cause has not been determined. The fire was contained to the living area of the RV, but due to extensive smoke, heat and water damage, the RV was said to be extensively damaged. No dollar value has been placed on the loss due to the fire.
